sciman55
I have another question. Force changes direction and speed, but it also changes shape. If inertia resists acceleration caused by forces, can it also resist change in shape?

arkain101
Trying to throw a boulder. The boulder does not want to be "changed". So we struggle to not only pick it up, but also to throw it. Its inertial mass is the mass that is hard to throw. The gravitational mass is the mass that is hard to pick up. Each mass is the same thing.
