Moderators wanted!

Dear friends -

 

I am looking for several volunteers who can function as moderators in these forums.

 

Tasks will be

 

• 
  <LI>Letting people know about our forums (posting elsewhere)
  <LI>Assist people who need help within your specific field
  <LI>Keep an eye on postings made in your category, and remove inappropriate messages if necessary
  <LI>And of course, create postings on things of interest to others!

All moderators will be invited to take part in our editorial contributor's discussion group (under construction - but not for too long now).

Perhaps I should mention this as well -

 

moderators are mostly wanted within these areas, but this is not an exclusive list:

 

-astronomy

-cosmology

-SETI/astrobiology

-physics (including astrophysics, quantum mechanics, etc)

-biology (please! Anyone with Theoretical Biology?)

-engineering

-philosophy/history

-chemistry

-mathematics

 

If you feel that you have specific knowledge in a limited area, I'd also be happy to hear from you. If you have suggestions for special topics we should cover, and which you could help us pull off, that's even better.

If your still looking for moderators, I'm interested in helping. I have helped several communities build themselves up and make a difference to the internet.

Wow, you sure replied to an old thread!

 

Bascially, we require that all our moderators have been members of Hypography for a while and have shown both good behaviour and a willingness to help out. So if you are interested, that is the way to go. In fact, all of our current mods joined the mod team that way.
