Upside down Globes

Why Australia? What about much of Africa and South America?

 

Anyway, just recently I was reading that only a few centuries ago, in Europe, it was common for maps to have south toward the top.

 

Are you saying the flags (all of them) would be upside down too?
You forgot the toponyms. Why not them too?

C'mon Jway, you know that isn't the point at all...:cup:

I am not sure whether Australia would have other than a South-Top orientation preference

over North-Top. Though as Qfwfq said this was done about that time. I am Damn sure

that all Australian cartographers would have Australia as The Larges Continent on said

globe. :hyper: :soapbox:
