The key is not to get in the water where a big one is feeding. They do not hunt people or anything else in particular, they just hunt and eat what they find. No doubt cars kill far more than sharks, yet we don't destroy every car we find. Sharks are just a convenient whipping boy for all our fears of the unexpected.
