How many people had joined it, is only known to those who administer it, but we have realized just how huge the number must be yesterday... My friend went on slashdot yesterday, and caught an article that was just posted and didnt have replies, he hit reply and a 404 came up signaling that he probably acessed the article before it was really posted, so he reloaded the page and typed up a quick response af about 5 words and clicked post. The entire operation took about 25-35 seconds, and he wasnt first or third, he wasnt even within the first 10 and even 20 people who have posted, he was 26th, and it was pretty sad that in less than a minute about 30 people posted to a just posted article... sad and funny at the same time, he wanted to be first...
