Im trying to write a fan fic about a scientist who is working on something in the era of the New Republic. He does not believe in the Force in the way he doesnt think it controls fate. (He acknowledges, however, that there is an energy field that some sentients can manipulate) I just need something for him to be researching. It just has to sound cool and scientific. It can NOT be game-changing or something that can alter the story in a dramatic way Also it cant have already been done in Legends or Canon. I want a fresh idea. It cannot be -A time machine -A teleporter -A matter replicator

If anything can be simulation, or computation, does it stand to reason that any human event in the universe can be a computer, including World War II?

I'm an organ donor and have been for many years now. As have all my friends and family. Registering as an organ donor, as far as I can tell, seems to be the done thing now - especially as policy change across the world gradually sees more national 'opt-out' organ donation models. I assumed shrinking transplant waiting lists. But then I came across this article: http://careers.imhgr...organ-donation/ While there are apparently more donors, according to this article there may well be fewer actual donations thanks to medical advancements. I guess my question is WHAT IS

I've been on the fence about getting my own email domain. I'm just not sure if it's worth it or not? I've read a lot online about creating your online presence and digital brand, and that having your personal email address may add to that. What do you guys think?

Hello. I am Kaito and I was wondering how close we could be.. Now.. I understand everything about this topic vividly and how hard it could get. I lost my train of thought while making an account for this website, so I would like to hear your ideas.. Also, I may sound young (12yrs) but that doesn't mean I am incapable of anything this complex.. Now, I know that you might of heard that the "NerveGear"/Sword Art Online- The Game may come out in 2020 or 2022.. But.. This is just an estimate if you already know, you could also possible know how hard this subject is or how to reply to something like

Is it possible, that anyone who lived 1,000 years ago will be able to write movie reviews in the future? Take a film like Guilty as Sin, or Halloween 6, or contemporary films like The Force Awakens - in the future, can these movies be reviewed by participants of the American civil war, or the citizens of ancient Rome?

Hi I am interested in making the Nerve Gear but I believe that the main problem with developing it is the 'writing' part. What I mean by that, is the transfer of information from the Nerve Gear to the brain. So I made this topic to brainstorm the possible ways of doing this. The important part to remember is not to try and make it like the nerve gear (Therefore just thinking of non-invasive methods) but just to make it work. So to start it off. As another member said: I think its near impossible to stimuate individuals axons, so we are going to have to stimulate entire nerves. E.G. If
