  1. Why don't you use wikipedia? You could read this: In the vicinity of the Earth, about 65 billion (6.5×1010) solar neutrinos per second pass through every square centimeter perpendicular to the direction of the Sun
  2. There is an article in the Grauniad as we speak with the headline: (how old are you to qualify as antique?) Antique gun dealer supplied weapons and bullets used by gangsters
  3. That is better than my favourite "Bank Rate Rise Leak Probe Row". Of course, the Grauniad newspaper is supreme in original headlines, like the time when the (West) German government was promoting cycling for health reasons, and the headline was something like "Bonn Boosts Bicycle Boom in Bid to Beat Battle of Bulge".
  4. Give us a clue - what kind of game is it?
  5. That is a strange assertion. The area of a circle is derived from integration - where is the error?
  6. Why do you invent a language with a totally arbitrary restriction like this one?
  7. Yes, but Obrist and Annorax are comic characters, aren't they? Always fighting the Romans.
  8. I think this kind of statement is simplistic to the point of being totally meaningless. You could claim that any historical event is per se exceedingly unlikely, given the sequence of random events which led up to it. Norman victory in 1066; Greek victory at Salamis in 480 BC; the list is endless. All these contributed indirectly to the situation in Europe which lead to WWII.
  9. Still science fiction. I don't see the point, but please carry on without me.
  10. I thought this was a science forum, not a science fiction comic book. Ah well.
  11. That attempt to equate the 666 with Allah is a ridiculous distortion and would make no grammatical sense anyway. The deduction ex pedem Herculem is also odd, because there may be various reasons for choice of avatar. It could be that I am trying to come to terms with a bad case of hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia.
