  1. saw a thing on the history channel last night about einstein and his theory of relativity. it showed how scientists prooved light bent as it passed by the sun. a red flag went up in my mind. i remember hearing something about how light travels in waves. if this is true i theorised that light did not bend because of gravity. instead it bent because the sun disrupted the waves, the same way an object disrupts waves in a pool of water. what's your thoughts about this?
  2. okay, so you agree that man created said things.
  3. these are the facts, cars and computers didn't just pop up out of the ground. do you think they were discovered?
  4. yes, hammers, swords, guns, tv's, paper, pencil, cars, houses, tractors, computers, internet, soap, light bulbs, so on and so forth. all created, by animals? no, by man.
  5. Moderation note: The first 11 posts of this thread were moved from the thread 18600, because they are not a discussion of that thread’s question, but objections to the theory of evolution from a Biblical creationist, and responses to them. do you believe in evolution? ever seen anything evolve?
  6. your not reading the words. it's just like what some one said about solomn's horses. the first verse quoted said "40000 stalls of horses", the next one said "4000 stalls for horses and chariots" a stall for each of his 40000 horses and 4000 stalls for horse and chariot, you know, when the chariot is hucked-up to the horse. a larger stall, kinda like those parking places at big truck stops that are really big (long) so the truck and trailer can fit in them. i had to read those verses over and over before i understood. you must take into consideration when the Bible (KJV) was written and h
  7. i wonder what our fore-fathers would do? i think lincoln, washington, etc. would have discharged a lead ball into the heads of the bankers and auto makers the same instant they asked for government help. if the Lord waits long enough, if i live long enough, i'll tell my grandchildren what it was like to live in america. none of us can begin to fathum the distruction the government is sowing. bailout????? i heard some idiot on the news the other day say that the people have lost faith in free market. does anyone really accually ohnestly think that senators, congressman, representatives,
  8. well, that is as good as i can do. the version you just quoted doesn't say what the KJV says. but i didn't know that insects have six legs, never heard it, never thought about it. i reckon i learned me som'em new taday :)
  9. and it also says not to eat those four legged insects, well it accually says "things" if you read on it talks about turtles, mouse, lizard, snail, mole
  10. Lev 11:42 Whatsoever goeth upon the belly, and whatsoever goeth upon all four, or whatsoever hath more feet among all creeping things that creep upon the earth, them ye shall not eat; for they are an abomination. and yet John the baptist ate grasshoppers, he understood that grasshoppers were not of the four legged bugs you shouldn't eat. of all the isects (the creeping, the flying, the four legged) you can only eat locust, beetle, and grasshopper if i were half as smart as i think i am, maybe i could explain it better :) how many legs do beetles have?
  11. the rockies, follow this USGS Release: 3 to 4.3 Billion Barrels of Technically Recoverable Oil Assessed in North Dakota and Montanas Bakken Formation—25 Times More Than 1995 Estimate— (4/10/2008 2:25:36 PM)
  12. turtle's quote of the Bible in post 227 is the same as my Bible. it says "even these of them ye may eat" "these" meaning grasshoppers, locust "them" meaning flying insects, bugs, crittors my Bible is a center column reference edition, the scipture it shows for a reference to locust is Matthew 3:4 "And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey. showing that it was okay to eat grasshoppers, the people of the time understood what the sciptures meant
  13. most people i know, family and friends, have been seeing this coming for many years. sub-divisions one after another, $400 to $600 thousand homes, land at $20 to $50 thousand per acer. there is not enough people, with the money and means, to buy these homes. now the homes are empty. the banks are left to fit the bill cus the contractors walked away. and high gas prices didn't help. i think we should drill our own oil, stop sending all our money to terrorists. they don't like us anyway. if gas was $.50 a gallon, people would have more money to pay bills. i know i would.
