yeah, thats why i was trying to get people to work on making carbon fibre building materials from the exhaust gasses from a coal power plant,

while in isreal, they are pumping the exhaust gasses into a algae fuel production facility, to improve the growth of the algae,

i would still like to see the carbon fibre material production done, while co2 is at its lowest energy state, i would like to find a catalyst that would allow for breaking of the bond
in a fashon that would be usable to make carbon fibre materials

    i was pondering,

if i was in a think tank, literaaly, and i wanted to get "outside the box"\
but doing this was against my contract
    how would i get out

now the "box" could potentially be my degree in physics, where the knowledge that i have
is similar to a set shape that has to be tought

    interesting topic,

i believe conciousness spikes a wave of matter that we observe as soul, or aura

    which goes so many ways
    life after death

    alternate dimentions

    higher/lower plains of existance

belovelife got a reaction from Turtle in The Higgs Boson Has *not* Been Found
interesting article, from this article, it looks to me like the nuclei joined, but the conjunction was non-harmonious, so based on my model, it potentially decayed to the gamma ray source, the form of matter at the instant, would have been an atom that was not stable at stp, and the resulting energy was a bridge between matter and energy similar to the release of energy that defines detection of the nutrino

SaturdayThere is a sentiment, an inspiration, that I have resolutely determined to shun ABSOLUTELY,
The feeling of “us against them,”
The spirit that both drives/motivates and is at the core of the practice by humans of organizing themselves into one (national, tribal, ethnic, racial, religious, gender, ideological, socio-economic class or age) group or the other, of regarding themselves as superior to others (in one respect or the other) and of uniting and establishing themselves in antagonizing others!

Dagnabit – I was too busy to post my guess on this then DeepWater posted it a couple of days ago, and have now been beaten to it by a slew of decently researched news articles! :(

By all credible accounts, the belief that a “history making” discovery had been made by Curiosity last week, and was awaiting due diligence from its science teams before publication, was a simple misunderstanding of 11/20 interview remarks by Curiosity principle investigator John Grotzinger, and runaway, hyped science fan rumor.

Grotzinger and other Curiosity teamfolk intended to communicate, in the 11/20 interview in subsequent posts attempting to quell misunderstanding, that the entirety of the data from the Curiosity’s best-ever instruments, “is gonna be one for the history books”, not that a specific recent finding was.

There are lots of articles explaining this, such as this slashgear one

Nothing to see here but humdrum regular science from a giant semi-autonomous robot on another planet – move along now! ;)

it's an interesting idea. i can't find any reference to a specific reflective film. ?? nor any mention of how the pricetag was derived. ??

still, it's an interesting exercise in armchair engineering. :smart:

    1) film should be white i think; not "silvered". tyvec perhaps? (even reflection)

    2) film should be intermittently spaced to allow circulation and desert dweller travel. (ecological impact)

    3) film should be installed & maintained by armies of workers. (jobs)

    4) films should be financed by films about installing and maintaining films. (fun)

let's pirate a desert and get started. :smilingsun:

my model is similar to string, where the atoms "vibrate", or turn on and off, from a primorial eather to matter/ antimatter pairs,

creating a resonance that defines atomic interaction , weak force of gravity, atomic decay, and electromagnetic signatures,

it only involves the 3 dimentions we are familiar with though, but it goes all the way from a black hole to a an atom, where the black hole would emmit matter, stars, etc.

similar to CME of a star, also an active core of a planet would do the same thing

belovelife reacted to CraigD in Interesting, 10-18-2012 Radar Mexico
The linked-to YouTube video states that the image appeared briefly on a The Weather Chanel website. The legend shows that it is intended to indicate rainfall. Various paranormal and conspiracy theory forums note that no precipitation was measured in the parts of Mexico where the image indicates heavy rainfall was occurring, so this video appears to capture some sort of RADAR imaging system malfunction.

I’ve seen wispy spiral patterns in old non-computerized airborn RADAR system, which I understood to be an artifact common to interference from similar RADAR systems on nearby aircraft. A quick google search finds an illustration and text matching my recollection in this 1990 RADAR and ARPA manual. My guess is that the much more sophisticated computerized RADAR image generating systems used to provide realtime precipitation maps like The Weather Chanel’s also exhibit this spiral pattern, but with much more dramatic and colorful artifacts.

A professional familiar with these systems could likely shed more light on the subject, but as most discussion of it appears to be among the paranormal and conspiracy theory community, which I doubt would be very friendly and accepting of comments from such folk, I’d be surprised if any bothered posting. Maybe we’ll get lucky, and an expert will post something here.

My eye couldn't help but be caught by this coat of arms, from the side of the Blue Origin's crew capsule (that had a successful pad escape test last week), reminding me of hypography's own rampant turtle, Turtle.

belovelife got a reaction from CraigD in Drilling Into The Earth
i know there is a bit harder than diamond, but using fracking and other processes make the drilling easier,

i was communicating with chevron before the global climate change confrence in africa

they asked what i would say if i went

i told them, if i were chevron, i would say, since we have the most advanced drilling procedures in the world
we are going to usher in a new era of geothermal power production

a few months later, they sent me a layer in google maps that defined the amount of energy was availible in the us based
    on depth and heat

pretty cool layer for my google maps :)

I never did find the time to check back, the program just kept getting more and more intense (what else could I expect, considering they crammed a 3 or 4 year program into 2 years.) Fast forward to several months past my graduation date, I am employed now in the organic photovoltaics field. I am a technician who operates a thermal evaporator, an AM 1.5G solar simulator and I am fabricating devices based on publications available, and adding my thoughts and ideas to them. It is a wildly interesting field, with a load of journals to be read. It is my understanding that there were 2,100 papers published in 2010 alone, this doesn't even cover all of the years previous. With another 2200 or more to be read for 2011.

Reading and understanding the journals comprises a lot of my work, and there have been times where I have wondered what it is I was doing, and how much easier it would be to just go back to something familiar. I feel stupid on a daily basis *laughs*.

Currently there are several types of solar cells, the commercial Si cell which has efficiencies of almost 25%, referred to as 1G technology in the solar cell community. There are thin film cells comprised of CIGS (Copper, Indium, Gallium, Selenide)known as 2G, and then the field which I am in.

Which is broken down further into different types of organic cells:
    Bulk heterojunction (BHJ) PV
    Dye Sensitized Solar Cells (DSSC)
    Block Copolymer
Tandem solar cells, comprised of either inorganic/organic pairings, or straight up organic pairings

I know there are more, I am just not well versed in all of them. Nanotechnology will play a role in this field, due to polymers that will be created, or have been created, and being able to see to the nanoscale allows us to make educated guesses as to how a performance of a cell or device might be improved.

Recently I read about two interesting 'breakthroughs' in the field, one of which comes from MIT who changed the physical orientation of how Si solar cells are stacked and recorded better collection of light, the other comes from a company out of Germany called Heliatek who has developed an oligomer/fullerene combination to come up with the best OPV I have read about to date with a power conversion efficiency of 10.7%, and predicts based on physics calculations that the efficiency could rise to as much as 15%. I've been looking for the journals to check out the work, but it would seem that it has not become available yet.

The education that I took was incredibly diverse, as they prepared me for work in a variety of fields. All of which are reaching out toward the benefits of nanotechnology. Understanding how atoms work on the nanoscale allows for interesting possibilities that haven't been thought of yet.

belovelife got a reaction from CraigD in Belovelife's unification Theory
well i have my theory based on the celestial event called a pulsar
    and it mushroom shape,

where the "cap of the mushroom " is expanded space

and the "stem of the mushroom " is contracted space

where the x-ray spectrum of the stem is equivelent to the redshift concept

an the interesting fact, the there seems to be a star at the meeting point of the cap and stem,
yet light also is detected from the bottom of the "stem"

this along with other studies and the LHC particle collition data, has brought me to the conclutions
that i define in my atomic model

this line of reasoning also has a set exhample to fusion to achieve higher tier periodic elements that would be neccisary for
    the bend in space time,

( i need to write all of this in a well defined paper, rather than it all be post and thoughts, then i can just
send someone to [- belovelife's unification theory -] and they can just read along, then again, without following the whole conversation,
it might be difficult to understand the whole theory?
