  1. But please, don't . City people always bring their troubles with them and the countryside vanishes. First they complain about the dusty and muddy roads and demand pavement, then they complain about the noises and odors from the farms and the farm machinery on the roads. Then they want sidewalks and bigger, fancier schools, and it goes on and on. City people are not cut out for country living!

But a true reactionless drive would have no 2 parts which would 'react' to each other. Thus, no moving parts, no transference of energetic particles, no magnetism, no graviton technology, and a host of other examples. 3. There is no such thing as perpetual motion. 3. That's nice dear. But let's forget about feeding animals and talk about other human beings, shall we? Now tell me what your wonderful loving prophet thinks about flying commercial jetliners, full of innocent people, into office buildings, also full of innocent people? What does your Koran say about that? While you are at it, please explain why infidels deserve to be beheaded and their deaths recorded on video? As far as I am concerned, most organized religions are a form of insanity, but yours is absolutely the worst and the world would be better off without it.

Yes, the members of the academic clergy are very scared of it, not because it will destroy their cherished beliefs, but because they will lose their reputation and authority and then they will have to tear up their diplomas. My explanation of how the light produces the colors is so true that even a 12-years old kid can understand it. Remember this and remember it very well: "The truth is understandable, the untruth is not understandable. Consequence: if something is not understandable, suspect its truthfulness." What are you people so scared of exactly? That someone may propose a theory that destroys your cherished beliefs? What if someone posts a theory that is hopelessly wrong? It can be shown as being wrong easily I presume. Sometimes, proposing a really stupid idea may lead to something great, prompt some new line of thought. If you only include theories that already conform to tour made up preconceived beliefs, then there is no way forward. Anything you don't personally like the sound of, you relegate to the "utter BS" category? This makes Science a club of bigots.

Then it could be expressed in words as: “The four elements of this cardinal set of basic arithmetic functions are addition, subtraction, multiplication and division” But I’m not sure why anyone would want to do this?

Your post is rather long, so I will just pick out this one sentence: "So I would say, you can't be a good scientist if you take things as absolutes" And I go further and say that you cannot be a scientist at all if you take things as absolutes, and I don't know any actual scientists who do this. I have worked with many scientists throughout my years with the NOAA and they all operate on the principle of following the preponderance of evidence, as I wrote in my earlier posts. I think the OP's question has been fully answered now by multiple people, multiple times but it seems to me he is w

In science everything is subject to new information coming in, science is a self correcting process, it becomes ever more precise but will never, by design, reach a 100% conclusion. This "design" is what allows science to be self correcting and moves it closer and closer towards reality.

We're so inundated and constantly barraged by empty headlines about Covid, Racism, Trump BAD, and such nonsense, that a good amount of people actually believe it... In that case, the entire sky would be as bright as the surface of a star. The resolution is the observed fact that the universe is finitely old and is expanding. This, coupled with the finite speed of light means that only a finite number of stars can be observed from Earth. Also, redshift of light, caused by the expansion, shifts observable light into the microwave range, as we see in the cosmic microwave background which do

Facemasks in medicine are mainly to prevent flesh-eating bacteria from getting into a patient's open wounds though the breathing of the doctor/nurse/observer. if your surgeon "clears their throat" you should probably reschedule, or double-down on antiseptics and antibiotics. It's the same with hand washing: BACTERIA not VIRUS are the main concern and efficacy. Viral particles are NOT going to be blocked by either a surgical mask OR the cheap cloth ones people "feel good" about wearing. Just like a lot of other viruses in it's larger family, CoViD19 uses a pathway in mucoid tissues to infect

Therefore, mandatory use by all is dangerous and an overreach of authority. A couple of other interesting facts: Almost all people who need to be hospitalized “for covid-19” have other exi

It's that nasty truth that "it wasn't real communism" and "it wasn't real socialism" is often used to pass-off guilt from the mechanisms in play that result in forced labor. Sure, Monarchy is often horrible too(the middle east and european history as example) but at least you can blame that on a very small group and not a dispersed network of soulless "policy" and "just following orders." Of course, the USA and Canada are kinda guilty of it too. The prison systems

On your question: One intuitive way to grasp it is that Gravity can pack more "space per area." Light still travels at C, but there is more distance-per-area for it to travel when there's more stress on space itself so it takes more time for it to get past that area. That's drastically over-simplified, but it's an intuitive way to grasp at the invisible forces at play.

There is no doubt that our CIA did exactly the same things when it was the Russians’ turn in Afghanistan. It is just standard operating procedure; anyone who thinks otherwise is naïve. Where neither side follows any rules of engagement, the objective is to out-guerrilla the guerrillas any way you can. One of the Taliban’s most effective tactics is to use suicide bombers. I doubt if those guys lived to collect any bounties

    Conspiracy Theories

Be careful labelling all conspiracy theories as nonsense, always try to avoid precondition responses like that. Conspiracy theory (whether naturally or by design, or a bit of both) has become a highly weaponised term that produces a trained response. No doubt some conspiracy theories are somewhat accurate while others are utter nonsense. Look at it this way, do you trust the people in power or those with wealth and/or influence? The Meaning Of Life?

The most global joke is that no meaning of life exists. There is not even a concept such as "destination." The universe, when creating life, does not wonder what this life should pour into. This is logical, because having assigned each person a specific meaning of existence from the start, the Universe deprives us of two things that it itself provides us with - the right to choose and freedom. This concept, to put it mildly, looks wretched, and the Universe can act only ingeniously, therefore its whole idea is to provide a person with a testing ground for experiments, be sure to check out

Most treacherous form of disinformation We are all practiced in the art of influence, it’s a part of human nature and instinctively when an individual or group proceeds to gain favor for a particular need and goal; communication is employed to try and win support for that cause. The spheres of tools which can be utilized to meet that cause begin with language and end in any imaginable positive or horrible outcome. However, when some of the less linguistically people cannot utilize language effectively for summoning favor to negotiate their needs and wants, often times with these

It seems to me that, as we are all taught nowadays in school enough maths to be able to understand F=ma, it is not unreasonable to expect that readers can deal with it. But more complicated things will lose readers, inevitably.
