I noticed the thread someone posted in "The Lounge" regarding proverbs....I can't post there, for whatever reason, but I'll bring the topic up here, so everyone can discuss it...god, you guys really do need to start reading some interesting literature! :D

 

Here are a few of my favourites:

 

A rolling stone gathers no moss

 

Thou should never let the sun set on your anger

 

The apple never falls far from the tree

 

A reed which bows to the winds of change survives the strom, whereas mighty oaks will fall

 

Set the beggar on a horseback and he'll ride to the devil - late 16th century

thorn defends the rose, harming only those who would steal the blossom - Chinese proverb (suitable for you, eh Tormod ;) )
