Short People

by

Randy Newman

Short People got no reason

Short People got no reason

Short People got no reason

To live

They got little hands

Little eyes

They walk around

Tellin' great big lies

They got little noses

And tiny little teeth

They wear platform shoes

On their nasty little feet

Well, I don't want no Short People

Don't want no Short People

Don't want no Short People

`Round here

Short People are just the same

As you and I

(A Fool Such As I)

All men are brothers

Until the day they die

(It's A Wonderful World)

Short People got nobody

Short People got nobody

Short People got nobody

To love

They got little baby legs

That stand so low

You got to pick 'em up

Just to say hello

They got little cars

That go beep, beep, beep

They got little voices

Goin' peep, peep, peep

They got grubby little fingers

And dirty little minds

They're gonna get you every time

Well, I don't want no Short People

Don't want no Short People

Don't want no Short People

'Round here

I was just curious if anyone has ever taken or knows about if any supplements such as (link removed) etc works on increasing a persons height, or is it all just a scam.
The product described at advertisment website is described as a dietary supplement – “time-released vitamins and nutrients”. The advertisement then procedures to describe the anatomy of the spine, and the rather obvious observation that if ones spine grows, ones height will increase, and that “under the stimulation of growth hormone”, one’s spine bones can grow, regardless of ones age.

The product does not actually contain growth hormone. It is a vitamin pill. Proper nutrition until you reach adulthood (your early 20s) is important in growing to your full height. Most vitamin pills are a safe and effective way to make up for any deficiencies in your diet that might cause you not to reach you full height. Although good nutrition after your early 20s is important in assuring good health, there’s no scientific evidence that nutrition, with or without vitamin supplements, can cause you to substantially increase in height after this age. Good nutrition can prevent loss of height, which is typically about 2.5 cm (1 inch) between the age of 25 and 55.

The product’s guarantee that your height will increase is by 5-15 cm while taking it is almost certain to be met if you take it in your early to late teens, and almost certain not to be if your take it after your early 20s. You will almost certainly have the same growth if you don't take it, but otherwise eat well. Though not precisely untrue, I consider the claims made in the advertisement deceptive. At $50- $37.50/bottle, the product is about 5 times as expensive as a good-quality vitamin that you can buy in a store or mail order.

Taking all these things into account, I’d call the attempt to sell this product a scam.

My advice to a young person wanting to assure they reach their full height is to learn about and have a good diet, possibly but not necessarily including a daily vitamin supplement. The linked-to product may or may not be a good vitamin supplement – because it does not list its ingredients or nutritional data, if it is or not can’t be assessed from the ad. I’d recommend not buying an expensive vitamin pill that does not provide this information. If you’re an adult, you probably can’t get much taller.

Short people are cute!

They're fun-sized! (No sexual relation)

My best friend is 4'11" and I have more fun and get into more trouble with her than I do with any of my 6' friends!

I'd say it's just a scam, plus it probably isn't good for the confidence of someone who is a little shorter than the average person. Giving out a pill is practically saying, "Being short is bad and isn't how the world thinks you should be... Change it!" Be short and be proud I say!! :)

If you want to elongate the spine you need to do stretching exercises:
