Tormod and Akim; it stands for Scholastic Aptitude Test. An external exam usually for US university admission evaluation.

Anyway, I took SAT I that Saturday. Then it'll be TOEFL this Thursday. Taking my SAT II on December 4th. Math, physics and writing. That's why I'm staying away from Hypography.

What college are you applying for Tim?

Speaking of SAT, what do you think of it? Is it really a good measure of your reasoning skills? Especially for Verbal - most of the times, it's just a matter of your vocabulary. I really abhor it! Maybe the reading section is challenging and interesting. But it makes me feel like pulling my hair out. It might not be such a big deal for you Americans though, but for me; erghhh! I can't understand those passages about literature, economics, arts etc...

For those who don't know, go to collegeboard.com

Ah, I remember now. I don't think I had to do the SAT when I went to college back in 1990-92 (I think thre was some sort of exemption rule for students who were already enrolled in a college in their home country), but I remember taking the TOEFL test. Scored pretty well, too.
