Évitez le franglais, parlez français.

--Bernard Pivot

My problem is that I am quite familiar with the English vocabulary when computers are concerned, but much less with the French vocabulary

Mastering the French vocabulary would be very useful in this workshop, where I'm active as a volonteer, because we have lots of members who have but a limited knowledge of Dutch.

So I'm off on a search for an English/French dictonary for terms related to internet and coputers. If I find it ont the net, I'll post the link on this forum, else i'll try to pubvlish a dozen of terms each week.

Souhaitez-moi bon courage et bonne chance !

Wish me lots of courage and lots of luck !

It did not take of lot of time to locate an english-french glossary, that is very extensive (62 pages when printed out) but still far from complete.

For example, it does not give the translation "courriel" for "e-mail"

Anyway, here is the link (I was afraid that the french for "link" would be more complicated).

By the way, this glossary does not provide a french translation for "tread", so let's stick to "fil"

Apparently I my post count is not high enough to post a link, so I try another way
