Taking over pages that I'm used to seeing as belonging to some other organization? Latest is Firefox. I open Firefox and there is Google. Even the address at the top is a Google address. I try to bring up Firefox but it is a hopeless task. There have been other such instances. That just happens to be today's frustration. I never did succeed in finding "About Firefox so I could check my version. Google search tells me three ways to find it. It is not at any of those. A friend of mine confirmed that with her computer. No About Firefox. All right. I'll stop. But I do get a feeling that Google is overwhelming various sites that belong to other entities. Comments? Is it me or them? If you can attach it to Google, you will have proven my point that Google has taken over. "About Firefox" is supposed to be where you say but it is not on my computer. Nor is it on a friend's computer - one of us with a Mac and one with MS. However, this morning, there is something new there: "Sign into Firefox". Firefox is also not in Help, as directions say it is. I'm sorry; not meaning to be cantankerous. Just saying how it is on this machine. Something has gone haywire. I did a bit of investigation of Google a while and when you do the research Google is also connected to DARPA. I noticed when you use Google now much non mainstream information is blocked or at least pushed pages back. Duckduckgogo's platform don't do that. For an experiment type in the duckduckgogo search page "Google's connection to DARPA and government". Now if you type that in Google you will get completely different algorithms. It's very hard to investigate Big Pharma on Google also because of the algorithms they have set up. There is a web browser called BRAVE:Folks have been flocking to Brave and its privacy protection guarantee: The firm in May counted more than 15 million monthly active users—a 50 percent growth since the Brave 1.0 launch in November. Google and YouTube censor to many things for my taste so I am going to refrain from using their services just like I have stopped watching mainstream news for the past 10 years. The only time I turn mainstream news on is if I want to get a good laugh or make fun of their propaganda. :lol: I think if people would stop believing the propaganda and lies it would be a much different world.
