Is Change Possible?

Hi everyone,

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day. I am posting this because I would like your opinions on my following statement about change.

A circle, let's call it A, with a six inch diameter that exists physically and is at a certain time and place can only be exactly the same as a circle with a six inch diameter that exists physically and is at a certain time and place that circle A exists in. Therefore, A can only be physically existent, a circle with six inch diameter, and be in a place and time it is in. In conclusion, things can only be what they are.

Let me know if you have any questions and help in understanding the statement above.

I have no need of answers or help, thanks.

However I offer the elementary observation that if change were not possible, you would not be able to post silly questions on the internet.

I am sure that most people would say that my statement is false because of not seeing things remain the same. What part of my statement do you think is false?

If you re-read my post, you will see I am responding to the question in the thread title, not any statement of yours.

Your statements about circles etc are just silly. . They have no connection with change, since they describe a static situation.

Change would be when a circle ceases to a circle, for example when the motion of a body in a circular orbit is perturbed and becomes instead elliptical. Or, to stay with pure mathematics, when the eccentricity of your conic section ceases to be zero.

If a circle can only be the same as a circle, does that not mean that a circle can only be a circle?
