Phages Used To Treat Antibiotic Resistant Bacteria

If I remember my high school biology from 1978 correctly, a bacteriophage consists of a protein coat enclosing an RNA strand that latches onto a bacterium and injects the RNA strand which then hijacks the bacteria to manufacture more phages.  Using them for treating antibiotic resistant bacteria is a novel approach.
