Tormod
If you have boadband, you enjoy fast speeds. Got any other type... you get to wait. My father-in-law has ISDN (ie, 64Kbps) and the forums load quite fast there.
ronthepon
The distance factor...? It shows 230.4 kbps (yes 230.4 Kbps) and it takes 2 minutes to load. (blue screen with tab at top). Another one, just a meter or so away from this computer has broadband and takes two seconds to load. Now an interesting thing is, (to any developer) that when I press the stop button during this load time the screen appears usually. Further, I can easily see the source even when it's loading and it seems to be the same as after the loading.

Tormod
Another one, just a meter or so away from this computer has broadband and takes two seconds to load. Are you saying that it loads fast on a neighboring computer and not at yours? If so, rule out the distance factor. ;) And that the behaviour of the page load is different? Then there is something up with your computer.
