Google Is Getting Smarter

Recommended Posts

How smart is Google?

An example is that from January 2015 to present day I noticed Google’s top answer to the question 'How much is the sidereal year increasing annually?' is under the heading ‘stargazerslounge’   “How much hydrogen does the sun use?”

It’s amazing because Google detected the answer to 'How much is the sidereal year increasing annually?' buried in my answer, (the following comment by a10ken is very funny), at the end of the question asked by Gazabone “How much hydrogen does the sun use?” on the stargazerslounge forum.

Over the last two years Google seems to be improving almost on a monthly basis.

Has anyone else noticed how smart Google is becoming (in particular voice recognition and I’ve even seen an example of what I’d stupidly call intuition!) and would they agree that A.I. is one of the most exciting things happening in today’s world?

I think this also demonstrates that any notion of privacy is an illusion

Google now has its fingers in all the pies. Every website will have a connection with Google, that may be just a simple result in the search query, the website may be using Adsense or analytics. Google may be a advertising company, websites may use Google to get ranked and get traffic but Google will have their own agenda. Big data is now a thing and its getting more and more popular. companies are now moving away from selling items and moving towards selling users data. We are becoming the product. Google have bought out robotic companies in the past and are continuing to do so.

Google is getting smarter with every search. They could be using big data to power to AI for the robotic companies which they have bought

It strange other search engines like Bing, Yahoo and duckduckgo so on, have not improved much over the years. I try to use them now and then but I find google still shows the best results.

I can only guess google will be so good that in 10 years from now it will be just as good as wikipedia if not better. Ask it any thing and it will give you the correct answer.

I don't think every site will have a connection to Google thanks to the Dark Web and the fact the Deep-Clear Web still exists.

Google just offers more services. A search engine searches for results. We're just now used to it also giving the answers and pulling up excerpts.

The dark web is just a meme.

The dark web is pretty much just the websites that are not listed in Google or any of the other top search engines.

This could be for legal/security reasons.

But true, people have just got used to using Google to search the 'web'.

All that happens is that you search Googles index.

Many years ago at a young age I read a supposedly non-fiction account about events I think were based around the fabled city of Atlantis. In later years I tried to trace this record but to no avail, however, what I did find interesting was what seems like Google’s intuition that such a record could exist. Asking Google “chariot powered by quicksilver” gets a response. If anyone has ever heard of this account I would be fascinated to find its source. Incidentally, ask Google “is google getting smarter” and this science forum is the second highest result today out of 2,650,000 (12TH May 2017). Way to go scienceforums!
