Not Slowing With Age!

Read an article recently about why time seems to pass faster as we age.  It explained that an hour, or a day is a smaller percentage of our total life the older we get.

I choose to interpret that to mean that I am not slowing down as I get older, time is just passing faster!

I could run a mile in about 4 minutes and 50 seconds when I was 19.  At 49, I can still run a mile in about 5 minutes and 30 seconds, and if you adjust those times for my age, I am actually faster than I was at 19!

Isn't that a happier perspective?

You young whippersnapper!!!  I am 56 and have a bad knee (even after 2 surgeries), and a bad shoulder (even after repair of a torn rotator cuff, reattachment of the brachial bicep tendon, and ruptured bursa).  I have neuropathy in my feet courtesy of the diabetes, asthma, high blood pressure, and arthritis.  Other than that I feel great.

To be completely honest, minus the exaggerations and hyperbole, I have both of my eyes and pretty much everything else I was born with except for about 18 inches of colon. I was not exaggerating about the broken bones, sprains, and dislocations.  The upper crowns (second molars) fell out a few years ago and the posts disintegrated  I had the stumps removed, but no partial plate just yet.   BTW, this Chobani Blueberry yogurt really reeks..  It tastes just fine, but it stannnks.  What should i expect for rotten milk???
