Assumptions 

E = Energy 

m = Rest mass of an object 

 

Postulate 

Nature of radiation emanating from a body is a function of it's density. 

 

Proof 

From relativity E = mc2 

 

E prop m 

Now m = volume x density 

Hence E prop density 

 

Hence black holes have more internal (gravitational potential energy) than regular stars like our Sun. This seems to be true since black holes from distant galaxies are known to generate X-Rays (taking into account redshift), whereas the Sun radiates more in the infra-red and visible spectrum ranges.
