Not to sound rude or anything like that but this is a group effort. Everyone is here to develop this as a team not for one person to use or to claim as their own. All developers on this forum are working towards this thing right now. You would also need more than just a game programmer ( they dont do everything). So I recommend that you add your ideas to the forum and lets try to help each other out with this project.

i understand everyone is working towards this and everyone is trying to give ideas and such to create it but at the same time...its not that i dont like working with other people i would love to have a research group... but...i am working with my theory and all i wanted to know was what kinds of programmers i would need... and i wasnt trying to sound like i was trying to claim anything for my own but i have my theory and i want to research and develop it but its hard to develop it when you dont know the right people to hire for the job ^_^ i want to work with everyone here but i want to create my theory into a development form and share it with everyone when its done so everyone can start working with something solid to help base their ideas and theorys off of maybe even make it a development kit as i try to firther it and make it better you know... but yeah...all i was asking was what kind of programmers i would need

Again not accusing you of anything here or trying to be rude. But why cant you share your information with us?I dont know what your theory is or anything like that but I can say that you cant do everything by your self. You sound as if you already have the thing itself built and that you are ready to start on the game. The game isn't even important now. If you wanted to start working , you would need a huge group of more than 50+ working on the game. Making games is no small feature. Before we even build the hardware and the nerve gear itself, we need to know what the ideas are on how to do this. It would be near impossible for one person to do it by them selves. Unless you're Kayaba Akihiko.

He likely has a reason not to share his concept either due to it being unlike many of the other ideas represented here. I think he is here to ask people who are "technically" competitors so as to discern what is needed to take his concept and/or proof of concept to the point of testing later on in development. To be more specific he seems to just want to know what else he needs other than a dream and some funding.

A belated welcome to hypography, GhoulsPlay! :) Please feel free to start a topic in the introductions forum to tell us something about yourself.

...i am working with my theory and all i wanted to know was what kinds of programmers i would need...

The pat answer is “good ones”. Good programmers adapt well, and can quickly learn to do anything with anything. Bad ones can’t. In my decades of professional programming experience, I’ve found that a new hire who knows nothing about the design goals, programming languages, etc. of the job, but can within a few weeks learn them, often proves more creative and productive than one with an impressive resume very specific to the job.

A deeper answer depends on a lot of factors.

Your budget is a major one. If it’s large – say US$10,000,000+ – it’ll be easy for to acquire talent, because most of us are at least a bit mercenary. In this case, I’d recommend you contact recruiting services firms, and have them handle locating management and technical programming staff.

If your budget is small to non-existent, you’ll need to be more creative and social. Go places real and virtual where programmers seeking work are. Colleges/Universities are excellent places, especially if you’re yourself a student. With luck and persuasion, you can find people who will work for just the love of the idea.

Of course, to get other to love an idea, you must share it.

You’re going to encounter skepticism with such a claim – that you have an good idea, but won’t share it – because experienced readers of internet forums have seen many such, and in nearly all cases, if and when the claimant finally shared their idea, it was obviously wrong.

One of the great values of internet forums is that they can be used to quickly vet ideas. Sadly, most ideas are wrong. You’re better off knowing this as soon as possible, so you can improve or abandon them, and move on to better ones.
