I disagree with the article. It is a big brother situation. This data can provide a wealth of information to governments and corporations.

 

With this control they would be able to see if you broke the speed limit at any time during the day. They can target individuals with advertising that is specific to the persons likes and dislikes. This information can destroy autonomity. Tracking us as we get herded into the cattle chutes in our cars on the morning and afternoon rush hours. Traveling to our ever growing corporate conglomerate, for work then back again to our cookie cutter Mc-mansions.

 

It won't stop until we are all drones. This may be the inevitable result of any advancing civilization.
