With a Democrat in office we seem to still be losing ground. I personally feel that is because the GOP will not work with Obama on anything. Never the less this gap continues to widen and it causes alot of resentment. Does anyone think the gap will ever start to shrink again or will it only get larger from here on out?

Considering that the elites of this world, regardless of their religion and place of origin, have more in common with each other than the multitudes of their own people, regardless of their religion and place of origin, surely modern democracy (with its crutch of propaganda and spin) is becoming the biggest farce on this planet.

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs.

Thomas Jefferson, (Attributed)

Yes, I have taken notice of that as well. The extremely wealthy seem to have a special bond that overlooks creed, religion, etc. and locks them together so long as they still have their money. It's almost as though they have a complex that the world is against them because they are so rich and they need their own society.

Yes, of course. But some people on here, are seriously discussing whether to "vote" for Obama or Romney - as if it mattered.

People like that worry me. I think: "Why don't they realise what's going on?" Perhaps they've had their brains fried by TV.
