My science interest, for the purposes of this forum, is to see if anyone is willing to provide some expert input on certain specific questions regarding predictive modeling over short time scales, where "short" refers to minutes to hours. I'll try to draw a clear box of context around my questions, to keep it useful, and to avoid the realm of philosophy, which I find not to be helpful for practical purposes.
