Robust
I read a report some years ago, NE Journal of Medicine I believe, concerning the alarming increase of mental retardation in children. The chief suspect was the newly adoped DST ordinance; i.e.; confusion of the subconscious mind as relevant to what might be called true anatomical relationship to the diurnal arc of the sun. A series of elaborate test studies on animals reportedly confirmed the suspicion - yet Daylight Stupid Time continues to rule. Seems to me to be a heavy price to pay for a smittance of convenience. Buffy
Convenience? No, actually there are lots of economic reasons for it: Lower electricity consumption, fewer accidents/traffic deaths, etc. etc. But as Spike would prolly say: "bolocks, who cares if gas for my Hummer costs more and I plow into a few more cars because I can't see them: the buggers deserve it anyway..." Would love to see a cite for that NEJM article claim! In the Dark,Buffy
Robust
Buffy, I'll do a Google search to see if I can date the NEJM article.
