Post A Cool Picture

I looked at all the sub-forums and this one seems like the best place for this topic. How many times have you seen a picture that really impressed you, and you thought I'd like to post it so others could enjoy it too?

For those of you that don't know how to post pictures on the forum, I will outline how I like to do it. The first thing you need to do is open a free Photobucket account or some other comparable type service. Once you have this account you can upload pictures from your PC, one at a time or in groups of over a 100 pictures at a time. You can create folders to store different categories of pictures to make it easier if you ever want to post to picture topics within a theme.

If anybody has questions, feel free to ask anytime. I will follow this post with some examples and after that I will post interesting pictures as I find them and welcome all other posters to post as they feel the need.

arkane, are you posting these pics under creative commons licensing? If these pics belong to a photographer who does not utilize that, then you have to ask permission from him/her before using their image.

I'm not really sure of what you are trying to say. All the pictures I collect have been posted on the Internet on many sites and are available to all. As far as I am concerned they are public domain. I do know for a fact that anyone not wanting their pictures to be copied can prevent it as I have been to a lot of sites where I could not copy or save the pictures. Next, I have no interest in doing anything commercial with the pictures I collect. If you can show any cases where pictures available to be copied and saved on a persons hard disk were ever successfully prosecuted, I like to see it.

well arkane, people "take" pictures all the time without permission.Hence why there is creative commons and copywrites and the use of watermarks. No one is claiming that you are downloading them to your comp, all i am saying is give credit where its do and certainly ask permission before use. Do you realise all that is involved with these pics? The amount of time and money that photographers put into their work? I am a photographer and i can tell you that if i found someone just randomly using my pics i would like the recognition and would want to be asked prior.

That's fair enough, and where the photographer can be identified I will give credit as you suggest. I am posting a link to Tracy Lee Stum's site below, although I can't say for sure she did the work I just posted, she is a great talent in the field of 3D chalk art.

Water drops art by Markus Reugels

Water drops art created by this creative person has caused this surge of attention to his water drops photos and splashes. 33-year-old German Markus Reugels is dripping with water, milk or other liquids on trays, teaspoons, making drop of water picture with shutter speeds. Markus adds food coloring and colored gels in a liquid to produce unusual colors and effects in his drop of water photo.

Different liquids produce different results in water drops art. Adding guar gum makes the liquid more dense, resulting the change in the shape of drop of water picture.

Also change of drops shape can be caused by adding sugar, and if you pour liquid for rinsing, then the water drops art will soar higher. This drop of water photo is really amazing! What Markus Reugels will present us at next time?

Markus Reugels from the German town of Schweinfurt, in Bavaria, talking about water drops photos making art adds: “It is important enjoy what you are doing, everything else will come to you.” And we present you another beautiful drop of water picture.
