Aki- I have to tell you that I was really chuckling at this list of professions. I would never have grouped businessmen with sales folks (most businessmen are not in sales, and most salesmen wouild not describe themsleves as businessmen). I also would never have put doctors and scientists in the same category (similar reasons).

Further, the missing categories are really interesting (e.g.,information technology, art, music, sports, hospitality, agriculture, etc) and are reasonably large. And that assumes that we allow "scientist" to cover an incredibly large amount of territory (from pharmaceutical research to materials science, environmental science, computer science, manufacturing, etc.).

And in "business" we would include owning a hardware store in the same category with investment banking, I guess.

I am a Doctor of Pharmacy that spent 15 years in information technology, and I am now launching a start-up. I think I am three different "other" jobs.

Biochemist- I have to agree with you, lol:) I thought about it at first, and I wasn't sure about the options. You see, I didn't want to have too many options on the list.

Zadojla- Yes IT! IT jobs! I totally forgot about that...

Teacher! Yee-haw! Well, it's spring break right now, so I'm actually not working.... It's a good life. These weeks off are incredible. I think everyone should work about 8 or 9 weeks straight, then have a week off, then another 8 or 9, then a week off... keep everyone happier, i think :xx:

it's kinda dark, the food stinks, and the oak tree next to me keeps encroaching on my personal space, but the rent is cheap and i have broadband internet access. there is an upside to that pushy oak, though - at some point, i'll be on top of it; mushrooms like me live to get root.
