Quatrain Corner

yes it's great to converse

in short and witty rhyming verse

now's the time I would propose

a battle fought in firey prose

as Shakespeare himself would seem to say

a quatrain's power has it's way

when on stage, last act being done

and puck did 'scape the serpent's tongue

Golden words spoken yessterday

inspired me in my own way

to take and weave my tonge's own silver

and place it here leaving all bewildered

A battle in fiery prose? Who knows the woes this could dispose!?!

To come to eloquent blows with those crows that shadows froze.

The power of prose that grows and flows has risen and rose!

I feel it from my head to my toes!

-But I just can't stop the rhymes sometimes.

Our theory called Big Bang,

seems more than a hunch,

our question yet answered,

will there be a Big Crunch?

The big bang orangutang

climbed upon a chair and sang

monumental hunch to hang

so many theories in a gang.

When the munchy is crunchy

cause the theory is hunchy

the science gets punchy

when it's time for lunchy.

This is the kind of four line poem that runs across the page all the way 'till it reaches right,

the kind of stream of conciouness no metered poem that springs up in your mind at night,

and seems to have some kind of theme or point but it's pretty hard seeing it but you might,

but if you do let me know because I don't think I even have the slightest idea what it is.

:) :) ;) :) :) ;) :) :) ;) :cup: :cup: :cup: :cup:

Men resist death,

as long as they live.

Only when they must,

will they reverence give.

So what can be learned,

from a life pure and fit.

For the fullness is found,

in the dying of it.

by Infamous

That's totally cool and truly profound!

Some of the best rhyme I've seen around.

Deeper than life is the sobering sound,

at the end of it all as we're placed in the ground.

a traintrack through the cornea,

desert footprints nudge a shadow of a bird who's flying to the moon.

try to sympathize the sun dial,

buried by the tide of sunken dune.

i watched the vines crawl from the pot,

the earth got cold, the earth got hot.

seven tremors roll like dice every time the chair creeks,

beating hearts get sick of that song too.

Your poetic taste,

is impeccable I'm sure.

To recognize my art,

so luminous and pure.

Haste; tell me dear friend,

my one amorous peer.

Was that only smoke,

just to tickle my ear?
