Time to vote in the Promotion Level Contest!

 

Remember that the purpose of this contest is to get "level names" for 6 new user levels. These levels will be automatically gained by users as they reach the given post count level. Reaching a level will enable new features, more PM storage, avatar sizes, provide increased access, secret stuff and needless to say the endless admiration of fellow (lower-level) members.

 

You vote by selecting the name - first level name of the members whose entry you choose to vote for. This means that you can vote for more than one entry - however, you will only be able to vote *once*. We will pick the one who gets the most votes by the end of February 28 (ie, next Monday).

"I suppose listening to Spock do math is better than being eaten by a black hole..."

"Why thank you, Dr. McCoy. While is difficult to be precise, I would say the odds are approximately 1,342,455.7 to one."

 

Whew! That was a close one! I made it back!

Its a compendium, and partly made up. The first two lines are from the end of "The Naked Time" (Sulu says the first line). I'm pretty sure that of all the things that McCoy said he was not, "astrophysicist" was not among them. If you've watched enough episodes, its pretty easy to make this stuff up! A friend of mine used to say: "All Star Trek episodes are the same: 'Is it alive?' 'Captain kisses this week's babe' 'We're all going to die!' and 'Whew, that was a close one!'"

___I didn't anticipate campaigning. Nonetheless, vote for Turtle! I implore you; there is only one logical choice before you. The other candidates offer creative propositions, but one way or another they either excede in seriousness or jockularity.

it says "multiple choice poll", but i only got one vote.

fix it, please... i wanna vote again!!

 

Duh...so when you took multiple choice tests in school, did you check just one box, hand it in to the teacher, ask for it back, check another box, etc?

 

You need to check all the relevant boxes during your vote...that's why I wrote "you can only vote once"...!

i voted for Gahd, not to think that Irishes ideas werent great as usual, i just thought lurker was pretty good.

Level 1 - 10 Posts - Quark

Level 2 - 100 Posts - Atom

Level 3 - 200 Posts - Molecule

Level 4 - 300 Posts - DNA

Level 5 - 400 Posts - Virus

Level 6 - 500 Posts - Cell

Level 7 - 600 Posts - Paramecium

Level 8 - 700 Posts - Worm

Level 9 - 800 Posts - Rat

Level 10 - 900 Posts - Human

Level 11 - 1000 Posts - God

Level 12 - 2000 Posts - Superstring

Level 13 -5000 Posts - Root

but unfortunately ran out of time meaning to post... :eek:

The winner is pgrmdave with the following level titles:

 

Level 0 - Base = Curious

Level 1 - 10 Posts = Thinking

Level 2 - 100 Posts = Questioning

Level 3 - 250 Posts = Understanding

Level 4 - 500 Posts = Explaining

Level 5 - 1000 Posts = Creating

 

The Dev Team will start implementing the new level system and when it's up we will roll out some new features and services for all of you.
