freeztar
Yes, a classic jazz album. Coltranis is indeed amazing. I just wish he would slow down sometimes so I could hear the individual notes!
Queso
He has some slow stuff.Last nght I was listening to "coltrane for lovers"It's got those deep, drunk, mellow vocals, and coltrane plays fluidly over it . (Really awesome Ride tone on the drums!)I was just fascinated when I actually heard him blow a sentence . . It was like hyper vocals. freeztar
yeah, and I prefer the slower stuff really."Slow Trane" is a pretty mellow album and then there is "Miles Davis: '58 Sessions" which has a couple slow ones. I VERY HIGHLY recommend that album by the way. It is an all-star cast at one of the momentous times in jazz history. They absolutely nail "On Green Dolphin Street". Seriously, check it out if you haven't already!

Tarantism
on another note: Miles comes to trane and asked him about the increasing length of his solos... Trane-"i just dont know how to stop" Miles:"you take the f--king horn out of your mouth"
